RoundHouse : Wax Lyrical
Are you aged 16 to 25 years old and looking to explore your creative voice through poetry, spoken word, and movement?
Wax Lyrical is a free 7-weeks programme hosted by Roundhouse Studios, offering an exciting opportunity to develop your performance skills, grow your confidence, and collaborate with professional artists. This programme will start from 14th October 2025 until 4th December 2025.
Who Is It For ?
The Wax Lyrical programme is designed for young people that are not currently in full-time work, education, or training and combines creativity with personal development in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Gain
Learn from experienced poets, movement directors, and music producers.
Take part in original group performances
Build confidence through wellbeing-focused sessions
Perform live at the final showcase
Receive a free one-year Roundhouse Creative Studios membership
Develop valuable soft skills like communication, teamwork, and presentation
In addition to this, lunch, travel, and childcare support are also available to aid in removing barriers so you can fully focus on the experience.
How to Apply
Submit your application by Wednesday 3rd September 2025 at 6pm, here.
- Applications can be made directly or via a support worker.
If eligible and successful, you’ll be invited to an 2 hours taster workshop on either 18th September 2025 or 26th September 2025 to meet the team and try out the sessions.
