Jermaine Scott, better known as Wretch 32, didn’t have an easy beginning. Growing up in Tottenham, he faced the kind of environment that could easily consume a young man, from poverty, pressure, and limited prospects. At just 16, his life changed when his mother made the difficult decision to ask him to leave home. It was a moment that could have broken him, but instead, it sparked a new determination to take ownership of his life and future.
Music became more than a creative outlet, what started as a form of expression quickly evolved into a mission. Wretch 32 poured his life into his lyrics, developing a style rooted in truth and vulnerability. Unlike many, he didn’t glamorise the struggle. He examined it, processed it, and turned it into art that resonated far beyond his postcode.
Wretch 32’s evolution from artist to entrepreneur is rooted in the same authenticity that drives his music. As co-founder of Green Machine, a UK-based CBD brand, he’s helping to shift the conversation around natural wellness. What began as curiosity became conviction after witnessing the real-life benefits of CBD among those close to him, he saw the potential to create lasting change. Green Machine isn’t a side hustle, it’s an extension of his values by breaking stigma, promoting healing, and making wellbeing accessible to all.
