
The NextGen Fund is designed to support emerging talent in the UK’s music scene, whether you’re a musician, music producer, content creator, or working in a music creative field. This fund allows young people to bring bold ideas to life, build their confidence, and take meaningful steps in their creative careers.
The NextGen fund provides up to £3,000 in financial support to help early-stage creatives to :
Develop skills and grow professionally
Invest in themselves and their creative journeys
Deliver projects that reflect their creative vision and voice
Build visibility in the music and creative industries
From releasing music to creating visual content, building platforms, or staging events, the NextGen fund empowers young people to shape their own creative opportunities.
To apply for the NextGen Fund, you must:
Be aged 18 to 25 years old or up to 30 years old if you identify as Deaf, Disabled or Neurodivergent
Be based in the UK
Be in the early stages of your creative career
Have never received funding before
Face barriers to accessing opportunities, such as financial, social, or structural challenges
Formal qualifications aren’t required. The NextGen fund focuses on passion, creativity, and potential.

Successful applicants will be notified in January 2026
All projects must start between March and April 2026
As well as this, you will need to share details about your project idea, budget, and how the funding will support your development. If shortlisted, you may be invited for a follow-up or asked for additional information.
